Keep opening measurements and finished dimensions distinct
Make a small sketch showing where each measurement was taken. Record width at more than one height and height at more than one position, then note any obvious taper or out-of-square corner. If an existing door is available, you can record its size as additional information without treating it as the only reference. Tell the workshop whether the numbers entered in the calculator are proposed door dimensions or measurements of the opening. Include the intended thickness and any clearance requirements your installer has identified. This distinction is especially helpful when several people are involved in a renovation, because a builder’s opening dimension and a supplier’s finished door dimension may otherwise be mistaken for the same thing.

Can I use the standard size for a Canberra order?
