TIMBER SCREEN DOORS / VICTORIA
A considered entrance for your Melbourne home.
Start with the entrance you already have. A timber screen door can introduce a decorative layer while keeping the main entry door behind it. For a Melbourne renovation, use the original opening, existing joinery and the way the entrance operates as your starting points.
Manufactured by Karem Woodcraft in Bayswater, Victoria. Delivery enquiries for Melbourne; no local branch or installation service is represented.
PLAN YOUR PROJECT
Restoring an entrance without losing its character
If you are retaining an older front door, photograph the complete entrance before choosing the screen pattern. Include the architraves, any sidelights and the threshold in the picture. These details help you compare the visual weight of a simple frame with a more decorative design. A screen that looks right on its own can feel quite different once it sits in front of an existing panelled door. Measure the reveal in several places and record the smallest dimensions, but ask the workshop to confirm fitting allowances before you order. The standard size is a useful reference rather than a reason to assume an older opening is square.
Your enquiry checklist
- Photograph the whole entrance, not just the old screen.
- Note whether decorative details should line up with the entrance door behind.
- Compare pickup from Bayswater with delivery to your address.
A QUESTION FOR THIS PROJECT
Can I collect my Melbourne order instead of having it shipped?
Melbourne / VIC pickup is available. Ask the workshop to confirm the collection location, readiness and how the door should be transported before making the trip. The manufacturing business is based in Bayswater; there is no separate city showroom listed here.
