Timber screen doors for Queensland

Choose the door and screening as separate decisions

Queensland customers can compare the timber door frame first, then plan the screening and hardware with the person fitting it. The standard door estimate includes retaining beading but does not include wire mesh. Decide what screening you want before fitting so the beading and installation sequence can be discussed for the actual material. Do not assume every mesh type can be substituted without checking the detail.

From Brisbane and the south-east to central, northern and inland Queensland, the delivery postcode is more useful to the workshop than a broad regional label. Include the destination, quantity, proposed dimensions and a contact number. Timber doors are made in Bayswater, Victoria, and the final freight and dispatch arrangements are confirmed with your quote. There is no Queensland installation branch represented by this page.

For an entrance exposed to regular outdoor use, explain how the door will be positioned and protected, and ask your finisher or installer about an appropriate coating and maintenance plan. A hardwood name on its own does not specify the whole finished door. Provide the preferred appearance, mesh, latch position and opening direction as separate parts of the brief. Send reference photos if an existing pattern is more important than choosing one of the standard designs.
