TIMBER SCREEN DOORS / VICTORIA
A fresh screen for your Geelong entrance.
Replacing a tired screen door is a chance to check the whole opening again. For a Geelong project, record any changes to the threshold, trim or main door that have happened since the old screen was fitted. Those changes may affect the new specification.
Manufactured by Karem Woodcraft in Bayswater, Victoria. Delivery enquiries for Geelong; no local branch or installation service is represented.
PLAN YOUR PROJECT
Replace the door, not the assumptions behind it
An existing screen is useful evidence, but it may have been shortened, packed or repaired. Compare its measurements with the reveal rather than copying them automatically. Look for signs that the old door has been rubbing or that hinges have been moved; describe these observations to your installer without guessing at the correction. If new flooring or a changed threshold is planned, settle those dimensions before finalising the door height. Choose the pattern with the updated entrance in mind, particularly if the surrounding paint or hardware will also change. A short written brief describing what is staying and what is being replaced helps the workshop understand the scope of the request.
Your enquiry checklist
- Record planned threshold or floor-level changes.
- Photograph the old screen and the empty opening if available.
- Ask whether delivery or arranged Bayswater pickup suits the order.
A QUESTION FOR THIS PROJECT
Should I order the same size as my old Geelong screen door?
Use the old size as a reference, not an automatic order instruction. Provide the opening measurements and explain any planned changes. Confirm the finished dimensions with the workshop and your fitter before ordering.
