TIMBER SCREEN DOORS / QUEENSLAND
Timber detail, with your Brisbane entrance in mind.
If your aim is an entrance that can be opened for airflow, plan the screening as carefully as the timber frame. Our screen doors include the retaining beading; wire mesh is not supplied. That leaves an important choice to discuss before fitting.
Manufactured by Karem Woodcraft in Bayswater, Victoria. Delivery enquiries for Brisbane; no local branch or installation service is represented.
PLAN YOUR PROJECT
Treat timber, mesh and hardware as one project
Decide what you want the screen to do in everyday use, then discuss the mesh and hardware that support that brief. A decorative timber door is not automatically a security door, and no security performance is promised by the patterns shown here. When comparing designs, look at how the rails divide the mesh openings and how that layout sits against the main door behind. Ask your installer how the mesh will be fitted using the supplied beading and which finishing steps should happen first. Keep a note of your preferred handle location and the existing lock or handle projection. These practical details help turn a favourite design into a clearer request for the workshop.
Your enquiry checklist
- Include wire mesh as a separate item in your project plan.
- Discuss any security requirements before selecting a decorative screen.
- Share the final delivery postcode rather than the city name alone.
A QUESTION FOR THIS PROJECT
Can the Brisbane enquiry include a different timber?
Yes. The screen-door range is described in LOSP treated pine, with other timber species available on request. Name your preference in the enquiry and ask for availability, finishing requirements and pricing to be confirmed.
